It can be daunting. It can be downright annoying. But even on Black Friday, it is possible to find parking in the Mall of America ramps. Here are some of our tried and true spots.
Forever 21 and L.L.Bean have their own entrances from the east parking ramp. If you park toward the south end of the first level (near where Bloomingdale’s used to be), you can slip directly into either store! Easy access to Rainforest Cafe, Michael Kors, J.Crew and the rest of the upscale south corridor.
Fourth level of the ramp is best for strollers and wheelchairs, with direct access to the third level (weird, but true) through skyways, without going up or down half a flight.
Fourth Level, Nordstrom
Hands down, our favorite place to park at the mall. Walk straight into Nordstrom, which tends to be homebase anyway, and right inside the Nordstrom entrance is the elevator and our favorite women’s bathroom.
Mall of America recently launched a paperless valet service. Guests check in via cell phone and can request their car by text, pay via phone, and pick up at any of the designated valet stands—which means you don’t have to return to where you started. Valet locations include Radisson Blu Mall of America, the new Grand Entrance on the north side of the mall, the new underground parking concierge area on the north side of the mall and the JW Marriott front entrance. The charge is $10.
