It’s possible to woo your sweetie in the middle of a massive mall. Let us show you the ways:
PARK. East side
Aim for the center mall doors since you will likely be here after the stores close.
PLAY. Moose Mountain Adventure Golf
Mini golf! Play, talk, work that swing in the corny but cute “north woods” setting, while taking in the view of Nickelodeon Universe. Admission is $10 per person.
376 North Garden
Explore aromas, sample lotions and potions, then squeeze into the photo booth together to commemorate the moment.
EAT (old school). Twin City Grill
Good old comfort food and classic cocktails in a dimly lit, upscale casual setting where you can wear jeans, but feel good about taking a date. Indulge in meatloaf, walleye or turkey and stuffing, or pair one of the flatbreads with a local craft beer. There are also good options on the gluten-free menu.
EAT (hipster). Masu Sushi & Robata
Belly up to the sushi bar and let the chefs at this modern restaurant prepare a beautiful, fresh Japanese dish for you. Bon Appetit named Masu one of the 10 Best New Sushi Restaurants in America for 2012. It’s definitely one of the coolest spots to dine at the mall.
PLAY. Nickelodeon Universe
Time to step it up—seven stories up—on the ferris wheel. (You don’t have to invest in an all-access wristband; just step up to an automated machine at any park entrance and buy enough points for one or two rides.)
5100 Center Court
PLAY. House of Comedy
Not ready for this date to end? Have a laugh together. Late shows start at 10:30 p.m. most Friday and Saturday nights.
STAY. Radisson Blu Mall of America
Really want to make this a night to remember? Book a room at Radisson Blu Mall of America, the only hotel connected to the mall by skyway. Sleep in, get breakfast at the hotel’s FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar, take a dip in the salt water pool, book a couples massage at the hotel’s Solimar Spa. Repeat.
