You’re not here for the roller coasters—or the average chain stores. There’s Chanel, Burberry and no sales tax. So let’s do some serious shopping.
PARK. Valet at Nordstrom
Second level, west side of ramp (valet available Friday-Sunday only)
Hit the first floor for designer bags and shoes. Second level is where you’ll find the designer apparel, from Tory Burch on up to Chanel.
If it’s crystal, it’s probably Swarovski. See the brand’s own collectibles and jewelry collections (they even make watches), which often include pieces straight off of movie sets.
Shop the latest accessories from the venerable brand.
SHOP. Tommy Bahama
Clothes for the country club. Thankfully, it’s not all as loud and loose as the signature print camp shirts.
COFFEE BREAK. Starbucks
SHOP. Henri Bendel
Fashion jewelry, handbags and beauty for glamour girls, all designed exclusively for the Limited Brands-owned store. Most jewelry is $100 and up; $300 is about average for a bag. Check out the adorably packaged candies and nuts for gifts under $40.
SHOP. Intelligent Nutrients
From Aveda founder Horst Rechelbacher comes the first retail store for his groundbreaking certified organic health and beauty line. The products include hair and skin-care, aromatics and supplements, all made with food-grade materials. Experience a scalp massage or a de-stressing ritual in one of the private treatment rooms. You’ll leave armed with newfound appreciation and concern for what we put on and in our bodies.
The crocodile has returned as a preppy-cool fashion statement (bigger the logo, the hipper it is). Find classic polos, starched shirts, luxe sweaters and more for men, women and children.
172 South Avenue
SHOP. Boss Hugo Boss
Get your man a nice new shirt. It will distract from all those other bags you’re carrying. Modern menswear, both casual and dress.
The most luxurious shopping the mall has to offer; find apparel and a wide range of accessories from the brand known for its classic plaid.
SHOP. Stuart Weitzman
A sleek, white showcase for designer shoes. Stuart Weitzman masterfully fills the space between Nine West and Jimmy Choo with well-crafted, beautiful shoes.
SHOP. Michael Kors
The many collections of an American design institution, in one glittery storefront. Shoes, shades, clothes, accessories and bags—mostly bags. The bulk of the merch is from the more affordable Michael Michael Kors line.
SHOP. J. Crew
No one does it better. Fresh twists on classics for every occasion. Plus CrewCuts for children. Don’t miss the sale room to the left of the registers. And just pick up the red phone for more sizes and styles—mailed straight to your home without shipping fees.
Sushi, salad or salmon—this Minnesota-based chain has it covered in a lively, upscale casual setting with a full bar. If dining with kids, request a table on the “deck” overlooking Nickelodeon Universe. If not, don’t.
SHOP. Solstice Sunglass Boutique
Not another average sunglasses stand. Solstice specializes in designer brands including Marc Jacobs, Gucci and Tom Ford, with a staff both friendly and knowledgable.
Shop the century-old apothecary brand’s complete collection, including men’s products and the growing selection of anti-aging serums and creams. Get your picture taken in the store photo booth.
SHOP. Club Monaco
More trendy than J.Crew; more upscale than Banana Republic. This Ralph Lauren-owned brand has become one of our first stops for modern fashion apparel at attainable prices for women and men.
RELAX. Progressions Salon
Your tootsies are tired after all that shopping. Treat yourself to the Happy Feet Foot Massage ($50). And might as well top that off with a pedicure. This salon/spa offers a full menu of spa services.
